Summer has been long and hot, as they tend to be in Arizona! But the nights are starting to get cooler and I can see some fall-ish days in our near future!! I hope this post is finding everyone relaxed and refreshed after a summer of activity and vacations. I know I’m ready for the slow days of fall and all that comes with it…soups and stews, long walks, comfy quilts, and of course, writing. It’s been difficult to focus on editing with so much going on but fall is always a much slower time for us.
The next book I have coming out is one I wrote years ago. I pulled it back out and almost decided to just shelve it for good. It needed so much work! But I do adore the characters and this one is about a bookstore…so how could I just give up on it?!? I do love a book about a bookstore! I’m happy to say its finally in the final stages of editing and I’m hoping to hit publish before the end of the year.
My cover is gorgeous!! I use Thea Magerand for all my covers and she is simply amazing! Fun fact: I’ve bought like five covers from her even though I’ve only published one book, lol. I’ve had to quit peeking at her page because I want them all. She outdid herself on this one and I can’t wait to reveal it – soon!
For now, I will keep plucking away at editing. This is NOT my favorite part, but it is satisfying when it all starts coming together. We’re getting there 🙂
