Final Cover

Such an exciting morning! My final sized-and-ready-to-go book cover was sitting in my Inbox this morning. The amazingly talented Thea Magerand (ikaruna.com) created my cover and I’m in love with it! I immediately uploaded it to KDP and ordered my proof copies. This is finally getting real!!

This is the part of writing your first book that’s hard to imagine. For years, I’ve been writing, getting some ideas, stories, and worlds down on paper, but it seems such an abstract concept to think I’ll one day be holding my book. This first novel has taken a long time, primarily due to my lack of confidence in the process. I’m excited to get it out into the world and start work on the next story! I have lots of ideas bouncing around in my head and I’m all over the place with genres. That’s a perk of being new and unknown…no expectations so I can write what I want 🙂

Hope to have A Year in Exile proof copies in my hand by next Thursday and out in the world by end of month!
